Nº 2 Best self-custody debit
Bleap review
The card Gnosis Pay users should look at first: self-custodial, freshly MiCA-licensed, zero FX, and cashback in USDC instead of a house token.
Bleap is a Mastercard attached to a self-custodial smart-contract wallet — no seed phrase, stablecoins under your control until you tap. Founded in 2023 by ex-Revolut staff, it received its MiCA licence from the central bank of Latvia in June 2026, which puts it on a public regulator register — something several bigger names on this list can't claim.
Rewards are category-based since a February 2026 restructure: 1% on everything, 3% on rides and food delivery (capped at €500 of monthly spend), and 20% on a named list of streaming, AI and gaming subscriptions with per-merchant caps. There's no FX markup and no conversion fee on stablecoin spending, plus €400 of free ATM withdrawals a month.
What works
- USDC cashback — no token to hold or dump
- 0% FX and 0% conversion on stablecoin spend
- MiCA-licensed (Latvia, June 2026), self-custodial wallet
- Free card, €400/month fee-free ATM
What doesn't
- Base rate is 1% — the 20% only applies to capped subscription merchants
- Young company with a thin independent track record
- Savings vaults sit outside MiCA protection
- EEA and Switzerland only
Who it's for: Europeans who want self-custody, zero fees and stable rewards in one simple app — the cleanest like-for-like replacement for Gnosis Pay.
