Where the difference comes from
Both are MiCA-licensed exchange cards, and both are custodial. Since August 2026 Bybit pays a flat 1% to non-VIP users with no cap, and charges 0.5% FX on foreign-currency spending plus a conversion fee when you pay from crypto. Krak’s rate depends on your balance, 1% from €1,000 and 2% from €50,000, but it charges nothing on fiat spending in any currency.
At the calculator’s €1,000 balance both cards pay 1%, so the difference is entirely fees and availability. In the eurozone they are within a few euros of each other; in Romania Bybit is not offered at all, and it also excludes Ireland, Croatia and Norway. Krak covers the EEA and the UK. Choose Bybit if you already trade there and hold a VIP tier that lifts the rate; choose Krak for the cleaner fee structure or if you live in one of the countries Bybit skips.
